AcrySof® IQ PanOptix® Trifocal IOL
Delivering an outstanding range of vision, the PanOptix® Trifocal IOL is part of the AcrySof® Family of Lenses – the most implanted cataract replacement lenses worldwide. Since the first AcrySof® IOL implant surgery in 1990, there have been 120 million AcrySof® Lenses implanted and counting.
The PanOptix® Trifocal IOL is a type of multifocal IOL used to focus images clearly onto the back of your eye (retina) to allow clear vision after the cataract removal. The centre of the lens also allows for better near (reading) vision and intermediate (computer work) vision versus what a monofocal lens would provide.
Because of this, the PanOptix® Trifocal IOL can be implanted before cataracts arrive, which is called a refractive lens exchange. Patients undergo this type of surgery to help to correct presbyopia, improve vision at all distances and remove the risk of cataracts in the future.
